About Us

Hi I’m Chef Jyo!

I’ve been in the kitchen since I was 5! My first lessons came from my Hungarian neighbor who taught me to make pies, tarts, jams and jellies all from scratch. I continued my love for baking and cooking throughout my education and career! Back then I really did it simply for the love it! Taking my mixer outside in college so I wouldn’t wake my housemates! In college I realized I wanted to make this a career and headed to UC Davis for their epic Food science program. During that time I worked in food science and R&D which helped me get my next job at Sukhis working directly with Sukhi Singh in her test kitchen creating recipes for the masses! You can find it anywhere you shop for groceries! After finishing UC Davis I headed to San Francisco and found myself working for the lovely Wendy Lieu at Socola! I learned so much and even joined a professional baking and pastry program to advance my skills! 

 While I loved working for strong and brilliant women of color I decided it was time to start off on my own! Here at Bomb bay bakery customization and meeting the needs of all our patrons is our highest priority. Especially in a climate of ever changing diets and allergies.
